Better Access Initiative - Mental Health Treatment Plans
If you would like to claim a rebate from Medicare, you will need a referral from your General Practitioner (GP). Your GP will be able to assess if you are eligible to claim Medicare Rebates under a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP). A Mental Health Treatment Plan allows 10 individual therapy sessions each calendar year and provides a Medicare rebate of $96.65 per session.
Private Health Insurance
Some aspects of mental health care can be covered on private health insurance, including psychology services. Your private health provider will be able to let you know if you have cover for psychology services.
National Disability Insurance Scheme
Collaborative Change Psychology works with National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participants whose plan is self-managed or plan managed. Although we are not a registered provider with the National Disability Insurance Agency, accredited psychologists can support self-managed and plan managed participants in most circumstances. All registered and unregistered NDIS providers are required to comply with the NDIS Code of Conduct.
Face-to-Face Sessions
Collaborative Change Psychology provides face-to-face services from our office in Birtinya, Sunshine Coast. We also undertake community based sessions and have capacity to provide telehealth services where needed.
